  Q. What we offer:
A. We design, handcraft and finish cabinetry.

Q. Do you do free estimates?
A. Yes, all initial consultations are free.

Q. Can you help me with the design?
A. Yes, we do offer a design consultation to help with decisions resulting in a CAD drawing to help you visualize the end result.

Q. Do you do computer drawings of my project?
A. Yes, CAD drawings are provided on all projects.

Q. How long does it take to have my project completed?
A. Although all jobs vary, the typical lead time is 6 weeks from sign of proposal until delivery of finished product.

Q. Do you do “out-of-state” finishes?
A. Yes, because we are a smaller manufacturing company we are able to use the same materials and paint finish process as bigger out of state cabinet shops.

Q. What finishes do you use?
A. Stain and Stain Glaze finishes use an Acid Catalyzed Vinyl (ACV), which is far more durable than the standard Pre-Cat Lacquers that are used by most contractors. ACV has excellent clarity that shows the grain of the wood, so your cabinets don't have that plastic look. It has a resistance to impacts, water, chemicals and most abrasions. *We do offer Pre-Cat Lacquers for our budget conscious clients, but cannot offer the sample durability as the ACV.

Painted finishes use Pigmented Conversion Varnish (PCV) which resists yellowing. It is also resistant to abrasions, water, chemicals and impact. It is far more durable than regular enamel or lacquer. We can match any color from any standard paint chip.*We do offer Enamel and Lacquer finishes for our budget conscious clients, but cannot offer the sample durability as the PCV.

Clear Lacquer finish use UV Blockers in them that will not stop the natural aging of wood. So depending on the wood species, clear or semi gloss finishes can change significantly over time. Aging wood (or patina)is a beautiful look especially when using cherry or walnut wood. It becomes darker and more beautiful with age.

Q. Can you match my existing cabinets?
A. Yes. What ever you can imagine or whatever you need matched, we can do it. Just bring in your sample and we will match it.

Q. How do I clean my cabinets?
A. Our cabinets are easy to maintain. Generally using mild soap and water will do the trick. Take care in not using large amounts of water in cleaning, as the excess water could get between the panel and the doorframe and compromise the integrity of the door.
Since most of our finishes are chemical resistant you can use Windex, 409, Fantastic, Dirtex or similar cleaners. Do not let strong oxidant cleaners, like oven cleaners to remain on the cabinet surfaces. Also, stay away from waxes and oils. These products won't hurt the finish, but they don't penetrate the finish like they are meant to, thus leaving and uneven sheen on your cabinets that diminish the look of the finish.

Q. How do I touch up my cabinets?
A. Due to the durability of our finishes you will find that with reasonable use touch up is seldom needed. However, if you do manage to damage your cabinets, do it yourself touch up can be tricky. Some stain finishes can be easily touched up with a stain pen (if the area is small), others will require a call in to us to access the damage and do the touch up. Especially when touch is needed on Paint Conversion and Paint Glaze finishes, which are very difficult to touch up.

Q. Will my cabinets yellow?
A. ACV and PCV finishes are resistant to yellowing. Yellowing finish is a problem with oil based paints and nitrocellulose lacquers (used by most painters). Some clear finishes can fade and turn yellow with age, depending on the wood species such as Alder (which looks beautiful new, but can fade and turn yellowish with age). It is highly recommended that you use stain control colorfastness. Our expert finishers can help you choose the right finish for your job.

Q. Do you finish cabinets on site?
A. Because we are a cabinet manufacturing company we personally do not finish cabinets onsite, but our expert finishers can definitely work on-site with you.

Q. Do you make furniture?
A. Although we specialize in cabinetry, we do make exceptions for clients. Our craftsmen are highly skilled and versitile to tackle any project. Feel free to view our specialty link.
